0ff hand, I can't think of any of the Catholics I know expressing such a wish. I wouldn't want to speak for every Catholic in the world but in general such Apocalyptic themes are a relatively minor part of Catholic spirituality. Traditionally Catholics tend to be be more concerned with their personal experience of the afterlife than with the End Times. In other words, we fervently wish to go to Heaven and see God; we don't usually wish to see the world destroyed by the Apocalypse, over-population or creatures from outer space.

And if your "afterlife" were to occur on none other than this same planet, would it make a difference in your behaviour? My concept of a divinity concerned with the manifestation of intelligent being from the void would see those beings sent ever back to their leavings, with all the lifetimes in infinity for the learning.

May we separate our destiny from the despair of the Heaven-seekers.
